Workshops in Montreal.

Meet the Instructor
Xiaoxiao discovered sashiko after moving to the countryside at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, seeking to reconnect with quotidian objects. This 17th-century Japanese technique, known for its simple charm and efficiency, has become essential in her life, integrating hand-sewing and clothing repair with mindfulness practice.
In 2021, she launched her YouTube channel, 'Xiaoxiao Yarn,' where she now shares her experiences with over 40,000 subscribers. At the same time, through sashiko, she not only has deepened her appreciation for physical objects but has also enhanced her relationship with nature and furthered her personal development.
In 2023, Xiaoxiao began teaching sashiko in Montreal, where she lives and shares her knowledge within her community.
