Xiaoxiao discovered sashiko after moving to the countryside at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, seeking to reconnect with everyday objects. This 17th-century Japanese technique, combining simple charm and efficiency, has become essential in her life, transforming clothing repair into a mindfulness practice.

In 2021, she launched her YouTube channel, "Xiaoxiao Yarn," where she now shares her experiences with over 40,000 subscribers. Meanwhile, she expands her approach beyond objects to touch on relationships with nature and personal development.

In 2023, Xiaoxiao began teaching sashiko in Montreal, where she lives and shares her knowledge within her community.
